Responsible for management of the assigned Account(s) to include all sales, marketing, and specie collaboration for the account as a representative of BIAH. The Account Manager is accountable for marketing program development and execution, participation in the contracting process, providing relevant input for reporting development and delivery, delivering actionable data, providing inputs for data preparation and presentation, and utilizing successful cross-functional strategies as a leader in the Key Account management team. The incumbent will prepare an annual customer strategic plan in concert with specie and key account management. Utilizes BI sales/marketing plans to assure maximum product distribution and market penetration of BI products within BI guidelines, policies and best practices. Seeks out, identifies, creates, and acts upon, supply-chain collaboration opportunities. Manages all assigned distributor key account activities within assigned distributors. Monitors and evaluates sales achievement and ensures most current channel management practices are effectively employed to provide ongoing success and connectivity between the distributor and BI business. Delivers reporting requested-by and delivered-to the key account team with actionable insights to distributor. Complies with and formal and key-account-specific training procedures and policies to meet or exceed commercial business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities - Associate Director

  • Works with and through distributors to ensure performance meets or exceeds annual Company sales and market share objectives. Ensures contracts are upheld to deliver optimal BI financial performance and drive desired behaviors. Creates and implements an annual business strategy. Exercises fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
  • Ensures that ample resources from the various business segments are engaged. Guides and controls investment in all activity in the assigned accounts. Implements activities which maximize sales force efforts in the distributor.
  • Works in concert with manager to identify and engage appropriate internal and 3rd party resources to develop annual business and tactical plans. Manages distributor results to gauge and adjust plan for best effectiveness. Actively monitors and communicates business results, cross-functional activities, and investment. Plans and executes meetings that effectively implement objectives and strategies as determined by the Company.
  • Identifies additional market opportunities and develops customers, owns account plan execution, explores innovative solutions, and builds productive and mutually beneficial relationships to foster Company business. Responds to the needs of the customer in a timely and professional manner. Identifies and capitalizes on supply chain opportunities. Develops positive relationships with Company internal customers.
  • Communicates professionally and candidly with supervisor. Promotes an open communication environment. Provides frequent and documented feedback. Provides feedback to management on the effectiveness and results of policies, strategies, and procedures. Acts as a role model for AAI in relations with both internal and external parties.
  • Attends and occasionally leads marketing, sales, business review, and other meetings to activate and improve account performance. Ensures that ample and appropriate resources are available to the distributor to increase market penetration. Continually evaluates sales strategies and adjusts with market and other changes in situation.
  • May lead special projects as requested.
  • Ensures compliance with all company expense usage, ensures marketing guidelines and policies are strictly followed, and conducts regular L.O.S.-assigned and other job-related training.
  • Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g.., EEO, FDA, OSHA, Robinson-Patman, etc.) and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain BI's excellent reputation within the community.

Requirements - Associate Director

  • BS/BA degree (preferably Business Administration related) from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of successful key account management experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of sales management or related experience preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in National Key Account Management required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute a business plan successfully in a role as an influencer but without direct authority.
  • History of successful performance.
  • Proficiency in remote meeting management and use of tools such as Microsoft Teams, SKYPE, Zoom! and others
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and database applications.
  • Ability to travel (will include overnight travel).
  • Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
